Screening and discussion: ‘Elevasion’

Friday 10 October – 2 pm

Ten years after his release from Daesh captivity in Syria, photographer Édouard Elias teamed up with his friend Fanny Boucher, a heliogravure artist, to create a unique work of art: a chess set combining photography, metal and concrete.
It is an extrapolation of the one Édouard had secretly cobbled together with a piece of cardboard during his captivity. This four-handed creation will also be a path of resilience, allowing Édouard and Fanny to say together what cannot be told or heard.

The screening will be followed by a discussion moderated by Marco Nassivera with Édouard Elias and Charles-Henry Frizon, director
